This site is a
tribute to my Great Uncle Ernest Borrow, who emigrated to Canada in 1911 only to return to Europe in 1916 to take part in the Great War
He fell on the 9th
April 1917 at the battle of Vimy Ridge - a battle which was won by the
Canadian Forces and celebrated as one of the victories by the
allies on the Western Front.
This is very much
a work-in-progress, but I thought it better to get something up and
running
......before we get to the 100th anniversary :-)
